Continuing my experimentation with silver gelatin prints - I placed a medium format negative over a piece of ilford paper to expose the sheet as a contact. After maybe 15 minutes I was left with this salmon-looking index.
I was curious how I could capture the decadence of the photograph, which was actually already quite obliterated as it was a shit photo to begin with. Here the action of capturing the photograph is also the action which causes the destruction of the same photograph. I suppose I find something quite poetic in the fact that the same thing which immortalizes the moment also causes its decay.
Here I've included a compilation of the scans -- 100 scans -- in sequence. Perhaps I will go on to take certain outtakes.
